Survarium Alpha Signups

The Survarium website is now accepting signups to alpha test Survarium, Vostok Games' upcoming post-apocalyptic MMOFPS. This is not a sales incentive, they seem intent on testing things, so there are no guarantees of entrance, but they plan on continually adding testers as they go along. There's also a new video developer's diary on the game and the Official Survarium Forum is now online to foster discussion of the project. Here's a reminder about the game: "Survarium is a free2play MMOFPS game set in the near future. The game focuses on the aftermath of a massive ecological catastrophe on Earth, the reasons behind which are only vaguely known. Impassable woods advance onto cities from every side, as maddened animals and birds attack industrial complexes, military structures, warehouses and power-plants. Strange plants and mushrooms grow through concrete and steel. Scientists all over the world haplessly try to cope with the anomaly expanding with terrifying speed across the planet. Countries collapse; anarchy spreads throughout the world. Now force dictates who can survive."

Out of the Blue

Looking forward to the return of Mad Men tonight, as Sunday continues to offer an embarrassment of riches in terms of good television. We'll have a good 60s-style sit-down dinner to accompany it, as we picked up a rack of lamb at the big-box store, which I have been tasked with preparing. I am going traditional with this one, and will actually eschew the man-stove in favor of the oven.
