Bugbear Entertainment announces their next car game, saying "demolition derby is set to return in a big way" in a game they say will come to "the PC and yet to be announced platforms" and promising more news soon (thanks Charlie). In the meatime they have launched a new website at NextCarGame.com as home to the project, offering newsletter signups, a teaser trailer, and word that the developer of the FlatOut series is bowing to the will of the people in returning to its roots, saying: "This time we're going back to our roots - just like all of our fans have been asking us to do!" They also state the trailer's realistic and considerable carnage are all created using in-game footage. Here's word:

We mentioned the current Steam sale on Guns of Icarus Online last night, but failed to mention that this is in part to celebrate the release of a Linux edition of the strategic airship shooter. Word is: "Guns of Icarus Online is the first co-operative airship combat game mixing together first-person shooter action with team-based strategy. Up to four people will crew a ship, taking on one of the key roles of Captain, Gunner, or Engineer joining a team and fighting against other ships above the post-apocalyptic waste. In Guns of Icarus Online, it will take teamwork and tactics to dominate the skies."

Greenman Gaming announces their own BioShock Infinite Steam pre-purchase unlocks besides those mentioned yesterday by stacking a couple of additional bonuses on top of the pile by offering their own alternate set of preorder bonuses for Irrational's shooter sequel. They are selling Steam keys, so but the original Steam don't bonuses apply (currently the original BioShock). Instead, GMG will add the original BioShock as well as your choice of the following games to your order: Spec Ops: The Line, Civilization V, BioShock 2, The Darkness 2, or Mafia 2. Thanks DEALZON. Rockstar Games announces a Grand Theft Auto IV Social Club Multiplayer Event is now underway:

Today, Saturday February 23rd we'll be hosting our scheduled GTAIV Multiplayer session as part of the Winter Calendar of events. It's time for residents of Liberty City to batten down the hatches as the Social Club community rolls into town for a session of street racing and all out mayhem in Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer. Join us from 11am-2pm EST / 4pm-7pm GMT, to play along with our devs and watch the action unfold on the double live stream over at the Social Club Multiplayer Events page. We'll also have a giveaway to win one of 10 deluxe Grand Theft Auto Prize Packs, each including a pair of GTAV t-shirts, GTAIV license plate, and select gear from the Vice City 10th Anniversary Collection. We'll also host a bonus live chat and stream at twitch.tv/rockstargames.

We're kicking things off in original GTAIV multiplayer for the first hour, before moving on to The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony for the second and third hours, respectively.
