Torchlight II Release Date Announcement Next Week

The Torchlight II Website has one of those announcements of an upcoming announcement, saying they will unveil a release date for the action/RPG sequel on Friday at PAX Prime. They say the announcement will come in the morning, and that they will be giving show attendees the chance to play the game, and will also be participating in a panel on the future of PC gaming and holding a Torchlight II cosplay contest. Thanks Mr. Tact.

Guild Wars 2 Head Start Begins

As noted on GuildWars2.com, head-start access to Guild Wars 2 is now underway, allowing preorder customers to get underway in ArenaNet's MMORPG sequel. There have been some glitches in the process, and the Guild Wars 2 Twitter Feed has answers to questions from users about how to deal with various issues, and notes that the Trading Post is down at the moment, and there's currently no ETA for when it will return. Thanks John.

PlanetSide 2 Beta For All Keyholders

SOE is currently allowing beta access to PlanetSide 2 to anyone with a beta key the MMOFPS sequel. This tweet from John Smedley makes this clear: "I have good news - we are also letting in all the priority keys including Twitter and the ones we gave out at E3. This lets in everyone." Thanks Matthew.

Darksiders II Patch Plans

The Darksiders II Website has details on plans to address some player requests in patches for Darksiders II (thanks VG247). Here's word on what's in store for the PC edition of Vigil Games' action/RPG:

We are working on fixes for a number of bugs which can potentially block progression that have come to our attention, while also exploring adding additional features you have been asking for. This work includes vsync updates, improved shadow map resolution, X-axis options and additional keyboard mapping options (amongst other community requests). We hope to roll out a number of patches to address these issues in the weeks to come.

We have always had great experiences there, and never thought to compliment anyone, but this time around it only took us seconds to figure out how to complain, as they have an online feedback system outlined on their receipt. Oh well, they asked...
