, planned as an episodic game for Steam
and eventually consoles. The hook here is that this is based on a science fiction comic series written by Hollywood actor Thomas Jane (The Punisher/Hung
), who is pitching the game at Comic-Con. Word is: "This is a real passion project for Jane and a great IP to be turned into a game. The story of Bad Planet is one of an apocalyptic invasion of alien Death Spiders and a centuries-old alien warrior, called the Convict, hellbent on stopping them. The game would be a third person action game with brutal, combo-based melee combat. Delivered in episodic format (2-4 hours each) it would hit Steam first, then hopefully also XBLA and PSN."

is online, and is already accepting applications from prospective beta testers. There is an article about this on IGN
where Paul Barnett tells them the game will feature Diablo-style combat, and should be available soon, since it is currently in the polishing stage. Here's part of the IGN description of the game, since it is more informative than the announcement:
Ultima Forever is a throwback to classic Ultima games, with mechanics grounded in Ultima IV. Starting as either a fighter or a mage (a druid and paladin class are coming later), your hero sets out on a quest to become the Avatar, a person who embodies what are known as the eight Virtues. Using a Baldur's Gate-like isometric perspective, you'll guide your hero either alone or with friends through hours and hours of quests, battling it out with monsters and making hard choices until your character embodies the virtues and reaches the end-game dungeons. Once you beat it, becoming the Avatar, you then start a new game plus, playing through all the content again on an even harder setting.

will be released "a few weeks after" next week's release of the Xbox LIVE release of the skating game, though an exact release date is not nailed down yet. Here's word on how this won't be the same old grind:
The single-player campaign in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will feature a combination of all-new game modes alongside some of the classics. Fans of Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground will be pleased to see that Hawkman has made a return: a game mode where players fly around levels collecting a series of colored pellets before time runs out (think Pac-Man on skateboards). A brand-new mode to the series is Big Head Survival, where players have a head that’s constantly growing and the only way to stop the swelling is to perform tricks before it gets too big and explodes. Throw in Free Skate and a never before seen list of PROjectives, new, harder objectives unlocked upon completing the game’s original objectives, and there’s plenty to keep gamers coming back for more.

One of the wizards managed to sneak out some video of the confrontation -- be glad you’re able to attend Comic-Con, and not sitting the whole thing out like the gentleman wizard in this footage" Continue here to read the full story
