will be quarantined as the Starter Edition for up to 72 hours (thanks GameSpot

As of patch 1.0.3, when purchasing a digital version of Diablo III through the online store or your Battle.net Account, players are restricted to the Starter Edition for the first 72 hours (sometimes less). Players on Starter Editions have the following restrictions:
• Act I up to the Skeleton King is available
• Level 13 cap
• Matchmaking available only with other Starter Edition players
• No Auction House access (Real Money or Gold)
• Global Play is not available. Players attempting to connect to Diablo III Starter Edition in a region other than their Battle.net Account's home region will receive Error 12. See the Global Play support article for more information.

preorder incentives to buy Darksiders II
, where they are offering free upgrades to a limited edition that will entitle players to future DLC for the upcoming action sequel, being sure to note that: "All DLC content packs will ship post launch and are new content not originally intended for the main game." The also say they still have a supply of the collector's edition that's sold out everywhere else.
THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) today announced that all Darksiders® II Limited Edition pre-orders placed via shopTHQ will receive an additional two downloadable content drops as well as an exclusive set of in-game armor and free shipping.
The Darksiders® II Season Pass will entitle customers who pre-order the game via the shopTHQ to download the 2nd and 3rd DLC packs when they become available at no cost. All pre-orders will also automatically be upgraded to the Limited Edition version of the game which includes the first DLC drop, Argul’s Tomb. These DLC packs will include significant new single player content. The first drop, Argul’s Tomb, will become available roughly one month after the game ships.
On top of the DLC content packs users who pre-order via the shopTHQ will also receive a code to unlock the exclusive Maker’s Armor and Scythe set. Featuring upgraded stats and a unique design this will help players make a start on Death’s quest.

All players who have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 are invited to participate in our upcoming stress test. This four-hour test event will run on Wednesday, June 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT (GMT-7).
We won’t wipe characters for this event, so if you played in our previous betas, you can pick up right where you left off. All we need you to do is log in and have fun—leave the stress to us!
has word that Blizzard will be offering some Diablo III
owners in South Korea refunds over complaints about connectivity issues impeding play that prompted the Korean FTC to raid Blizzard's Seoul offices

In a message posted on its website, the company said Diablo III players who are less than Level 40, about two-thirds of the way through the program can apply for a refund from June 25 to July 3.
Blizzard will also accept returns from any players less than Level 20, around a third of the way through the program within 14 days of purchase from now on.
In early June, the company set up more servers in Korea to cope with connectivity issues. To compensate users further, Blizzard said it would offer Diablo III users a 30 day free trial of another hot online game, Star Craft: Wings of Liberty.
Digitalmindsoft sends word that the Steam edition of Men of War: Assault Squad
has received a new automatic update with free new content for the World War II action/strategy hybrid. This goes with a 75% off Steam Sale
on the entire series. This update is currently being prepared non-Steam editions of the game, and this change list

will launch next week, offering the ninth update for the MMORPG. Here's word on the expansion, which includes more player-requested content:

Yeah, yesterday was pretty darned hot, and today is shaping up to be more of the same. I have to say, I remain amazed at how livable our house is with only the one air conditioner here in the attic. Just a benefit of a house built before AC even existed, when finding ways to naturally abate the heat were vital.
