offers the image of a crowbar they received as a promotion for an NVIDIA GeForce LAN/Gaming Festival in Shanghai tomorrow, showing the bar to be emblazoned with the following: "For use in case of zombies or..." This leads to speculation about what might be announced, including comments about the possibility this is Half-Life related, though this small pry bar looks more like an HEV suit shoehorn than Gordon Freeman's melee weapon of choice. They say what this means should be revealed around 11:00 pm EDT tomorrow. Thanks Techie714.
has quotes about the future of Arrowhead Game Studios from cofounder Emil Englund, who speaks of their need to separate from Magicka
. "Honestly this is really just a break from Magicka," he says of plans for The Showdown Effect
. "The one thing really new that we had to do was something completely different from Magicka, and we kinda assumed that this won’t really do as well as Magicka." He also speaks of another unannounced project: "We really want to move on and do other things non-Magicka, we have a third un-announced project in fact that we really want to work on and we’re really excited about it."

Rumors that emerged this week that Vivendi is considering a major reorganization/break up were widespread enough that the company has come out and denied
the reports. Here's their reaction to speculation that they would spin off their music and game (Activision Blizzard) divisions into a separate company:
"Vivendi learned with stupefaction of the claims made by Bloomberg in a story published tonight about its strategy," a Vivendi spokesman said. "Vivendi vigorously denies all the assertions in the story, which are unfounded and based on anonymous sources."

explains the North American headstart, which begins tomorrow.
The staged release of the Lost Eternia Shards DLC on Steam
for Dungeon Defenders
continues with part III of the pack. Word is: "Available now on PC and coming soon to consoles, Part III takes place in the underwater ruins of Aquanos, a fallen metropolis deep in the ocean. Do your part to help the young defenders recover the yellow Eternia Shard in hopes of saving Eternia’s heroes!"
All the excitement of our possibly moving (and of course the NFL draft) will have to take a back seat today, as MrsBlue and I are celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. We'll probably spread the celebration out over the weekend as we enjoy the fact that we still enjoy being married, which is, sad to say, more than a lot of people can say after so long.
