Bungie MMO Destiny Rumors Return

Halo.Bungie.Org has further indications that rumors of Bungie working on an MMOFPS game called Destiny will prove true. They note that Podophobia Entertainment, formed by Harold Ryan and Martin O'Donnell, owns a trademark for the name Destiny, described as "[c]omputer game software downloadable from a global computer network." They also note a NeoGAF posting which points out that a symbol on a Bungie employee's shirt in a recent video from Penny Arcade matches the logo in the listing. Thanks Eurogamer.

Chucky Game This Fall

TikGames announces plans for a licensed game based on the Chucky series of horror movies to be released via digital distribution for Windows and consoles this autumn. Here's a bit on what to expect:

Utilizing an original storyline, players will have the opportunity to play as the killer doll and experience his exploits first hand while extending his gory legacy. True to the nature of the films, Chucky will use his full repertoire of stealth and guile to dispatch victims in a multitude of distinctive methods. In the end, it will be up to the player to decide how many (or few) people survive this stealth-action romp.

Out of the Blue

Hmm, Ask Slashdot (thanks Ant) tackles the question I just posed a couple of weeks ago about the merits of building a DOS machine versus playing older games via DOSbox emulation or the like. I'm pretty sure building such a retro-box is a dream I will never get around to, but this has increased my temptation to try by that much more.
