Infocom Tease

The Infocom Interactive Fiction Website is online, adorned with the subtitle "Interactive Fiction revisited" (thanks Kxmode). Infocom produced some classic text based adventures in the 1980s, most notably Zork, eventually being acquired by Activision, who shut them down in 1989. The website has an image teasing what this is all about in the classic style of the old-school Infocom text adventures (except for the fact that it is a graphic, of course), reading:

>EXAMINE NEW RELEASE
IT READS: "COMING SOON"

We'd guess this has something to do with mobiles, except the lower left-hand corner of the image seems to say something about "Windows & Apple."

CoD: Vietnam Confirmation?

A casting call for Call of Duty-related "voice over/motion capture" work for an Activision "video game" describing character Frank Barnes as being part of an elite Vietnam unit has been uncovered by VG247, seemingly confirming long running rumors that the next installment in the military shooter series will be set during the Vietnam War. Whatever the setting, the next installment in the series is under development at Treyarch, and is expected for release sometime this year.

Medal of Honor Stays Lean

Wary of the recent trend of first-person shooter removing expected features rather than adding them, IncGamers has received reassurances from Medal of Honor executive producer Greg Goodrich that the upcoming Medal of Honor game will retain the "lean" feature, and the ability to peek around corners. "Peek and lean is something that has always been in Medal of Honor, and we'll keep that," he tells them. "Even though we're moving onto a new war, a new enemy, and a new warrior, there are certain things that will remain, independent of what the timeframe is and who the enemy is."

PC Clover Next Month

The PC edition of Clover: A Curious Tale is due on March 3, offering Windows users the chance to sample the side-scroller that's already made its mark on Xbox 360. Word on the Binary Tweed Website is "Clover: A Curious Tale. PC. Worldwide. Wednesday 3rd March. English, French & Spanish. Multiple distribution channels." Thanks Eurogamer.

More STO Klingon Content "Soon"

Star Trek Online executive producer Craig Zinkievich tells IncGamers to expect more Klingon content for the Trekkie MMORPG "soon." Word is: "Klingons will soon receive a new Star Cluster to explore as well as a brand new Fleet Action, with much more to come."

Switzerland Mulls Violent Game Ban

A violent games ban is under consideration in Switzerland, reports MCV, saying a couple of resolutions are under consideration by the Swiss parliament. One measure would make it illegal to purchase games with no PEGI rating and tightens rules about presenting ID to purchase adult games. Another, more restrictive, measure is also under consideration that would enforce an outright ban of adult titles.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 DirectX 11 Details

There's a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 interview on PC Games Hardware chatting with Anders Gyllenberg of DICE, discussing technical details about the Frostbite engine and support for DirectX 11 features. Along the way a gameplay question gets jammed in there, as a question about DirectX 9 oddly asks about the missing prone feature, receiving this response: "Regarding prone that is a design decision which we won’t change in the full game."
